So I am in my second week of TKD and I have felt some pretty great results! First, I sleep completely through the night without waking up and find myself restfully and naturally waking up at 6:30am. Before, setting my alarm for 7 was a struggle to wake up to and I would find myself waking up at least once a night and feel the need to get up. I have stopped drinking my one cup of coffee a day which I am sure helps a ton!
Last week, I consumed more processed/soy based foods than I would like but have had the majority of my meals focused on the SuperHero way of eating. I find it great because I am a person who loves texture in my foods, so the nuts and seeds and cruncy veggies are awesome. I have always been someone who ate healthy and worked out like crazy to stay in shape. As a result, I found my body to feel worn out and drained most of the time. Now, I mainly do yoga and long walks with an occasion run. I have yet to weigh myself but I know that I feel better so I guess I hope the weight will be an added bonus.
Out of curiousity, most people who are SuperHero careful on the the nutbutters? I found that peanut and almond butter have always been something I love but want to make sure I don't over do it. Also, if anyone has any advice as to keeping a good balance of grains and which ones to not overdo. I know in the book, Alicia says go nuts on whole grains but then there are some posts that talk about being careful on how much and which kind. I want to make sure I get a good variety in order to get the iron, B12 and other vitamins that I would originally take a supplement for.
