I use Gabriel mascara . . . they sell it at my Whole Foods and it is just like my old mascara, but vegan.

I use zu zu luxe vegan mascara which is also from whole foods. I love urban decay, by the way. They have tons of great eyeshadows that are vegan.

I couldn't find any of the beauty product lines that have been suggested in this site at the natural foods store near my house, or any other store near my house. But I found (at CVS) a product line called Organic Wear. I read the ingredients list and it didn't have any of the "bad" ingredients on the list from this site that we're supposed to avoid. I bought mascara, blush/bronzer (in one compact), and pressed powder. I've been using them for a couple weeks now and like them. They weren't overly pricey either (about $10 for the mascara), which is about 1/2 what I thought I'd have to pay if I purchased online somewhere.

Physicians Formula claims to not test on animals if you read their website, and their Organic Wear says it is animal friendly too. I use some of their stuff.

Yes! Physician's Formula, thanks! I forgot what the "parent" brand was called. Organic Wear is under the Physician's Formula line. Thanks! Yeah, I liked everything I read about them so far, and the price is right. :-)

That is my big thing too, I can't afford some of these other products on a normal basis!

Physician's Formula has done a great job with the Organics line. Unfortunately, sales have been low so I am not sure how long they'll be able to survive. Keep on purchasing! As far as readily available, cheap and truly green goes, this is one of the only options available most places.
The Organic Wear mascara is good. The formulation is nice but it has an aroma I'm not crazy about. If you can get over that, this is a keeper.
My favorite eco and animal friendly mascara is by 100% Pure. The fruit pigmented mascara in black tea is awesome. You can usually find it for cheap on ebay so it's worth taking a look. This is a wonderful company so definitely experiment with other items from them as well. The Lip2Cheek tubes are a must - have.
