As a vegetarian, (on the brink of veganism) I have been hearing so many bad things about soy, lately, so I did some research of my own. I keep thinking to myself, moderation, moderation, moderation... Does any body have an opinion or advice regarding soy?

I eat macrobiotically or what Alicia calls the "superhero diet" and consult with a macro teacher because of recent health issues. The only soy products I consume are fermented...shoyu, tempeh and miso. My teacher's take on it is that processed soy foods (packaged, etc.) adulterate the benefits of soy and therefore should be avoided. The superhero diet emphasizes whole foods...not processed...and that includes soy. Since I've been eating this way, I feel amazing and have lost 10 pounds effortlessly in 6 weeks. More energy and stable moods, too. You should check it out!
