I'm disappointed in our "hope" for "Hope and Change"

I just have to say I'm so disgusted with Salazaar and the slaugtering of wolves. And, President Obama's ignoring this and other things that involve the environment and animals that I thought he would at least show some caring for. I don't want to piss people off here but I just feel so much sadness as I had so much hope that his entering office would give some true change to the horrible treatment of animals. I know he is kind of right/left (in my opinion),but still I had hope. I would love it if at least they would read Alicia's wonderful book. I just don't know how to help change the big picture as I don't have much voice that any big wigs would listen too. Thanks for hearing me out. -Kara
I may be out of line, but i read a piece that said we are spending more per day on the afghan war than on the Iraq war. I'm dumfounded. I know change is hard and it takes time but jeebus why are we still spending billions a day on a war that has no endgame?
