Hello :0)
I started juicing almost a week before i decided to try veg! Im in i thnk my 3rd or 4th week and I feel great! Never had so much energy! I just feel healthy like im glowing and my skin is wow! Still trying to get the hang of just what to eat but my question is:
is it alright to Juice? Im loving the effects of juicing and the thought that im getting all my servings of fruits and veggs in a glass and all others are just treats!
It seems a stupid ? but so many people are all about juicing and you only mentioned once in your book you went on a green juice spurt but didnt say much else about it. Is it bad? Good? Will it help add to your awesome diet in your opinion?
I have a Jack lalaane so im not getting the fiber it throws it all in the back - that is obviously a dissadvantage but what about the rest?
Thank you for your kindness :)LOVE LOVE LOVE your book! Brilliant! Sincerly,
loveinlife :0)

I was excited to see your post as I have been wanting to start juicing as well. I have been reading a lot about Max Gerson and the Gerson institute and juicing is a big part of their treatment of disease. I'm curious about your juicing schedule; what you and other kind lifers juice and how much you drink. I am also curious about your juicer, some of them can be pretty expensive. Thanks for your post, I'm excited to read the responses!!

Oh awesome!! :) So excited to know another Kind Lifer Juicer :) You will love it! I felt better immediatley from the first juice i had! But I keep feeling better and better with the combination of the two (veg lifestyle and juice). A friend warned me 'watch out green juice is like liquid crack" and seriously all day i have enough and more than enough energy i feel like im on a cloud and its even better knowing my insides are happy and healthy and im improving my life all together! Im so excited for you to get one!
Ok first of all ya them juicers can be killer expensive! I got a Jack Lalanne Juicer. Not sure where you live but do you have a bed bath and beyond nearby? They are $99 there and that store is always sending out coupons for 20% off so it comes to 80 something. Im well aware ill burn the motor out eventually but it works like a charm for me and unless im super juice crazy still a long ways down the road, I figure i can invest in a more expensive one later!
The first juice i ever did was 2 pears, 1 apple and i think 2 carrots and a little piece of ginger. I enjoyed it but my tummy did not appriciate the rush of nutrients probably because it wasnt used to it. I had major poos for a couple days but once my body adjusted & I think from the way im eating my poos are unbelievable!:) Great! And this coming from someone who had poo problems - only went like once every 3 days if lucky, sorry bout the poo convo i know its TMI for some but its good to know! :)
I was able to do that juice and a few other ones with lots of fruit in them for the first week, because it tastes more like a sweet juice that we are used to that come from the store. Then i started researching about green juices and how good they are for you. Makes sense since fruit can spike your insulin if too much and you can never get enough veggies! So started making some mean green ones! And i pretty much only make one a day in the morning!

part 2) right when i wake up! I crave it now! Now I'm trying to get at least a half head of lettuce in like romaine, then some kale, cucumbers, zucchini, celery, carrots usually some ginger sometimes some lemon and then ill always add like one apple or a pear or a papaya, I've added cantaloupe, watermelon, I've also used things I've never used before for anything lol like fennel, parsnip! Ive put in cabbage, purple cabbage, green leaf, spinach, mint, parsley, cilantro, i put broccoli in today! :) I don't know much about which ones are good for you and not. I know it seems they should all be but i remember in Alicia's book somewhere she said bell peppers weren't good for some reason. So I'm still learnin.
At first i was very careful to read each recipe and do exactly as it said but now i know i can palate most juices i just throw stuff in there! I needed to go shopping today so i just threw a bunch in there. Kale, carrots, celery, broccoli, zucchini, radishes, a pear and apple a grapefruit and a little piece of ginger.
Go to this website i think you will really like it http://rawfoodrehab.ning.com/ and there are a bunch of recipes under 'liquid lounge'!
I'm excited to hear about others experience with juicing also! I'm ecstatic about it i cant believe its not really mentioned? Looking forward to hearing what Alicia's stance is on it as well!

Thanks for the book idea! Oh and yes make sure to find an easy clean juicer! So important! And i totally agree you'll never stop once you start! I'm addicted for sure! What will we do when we travel lol??
