The Kind Life has changed my life and it's only been one month!! I had always been in the flirting stage of begin Vegan and Vegetarian, but always snubbed the idea of giving up dairy for good. I saw Alicia speak about Veganism on Jimmy Fallon back in March. When the season changes I always like to make a lifestyle change in terms of eating and health but could not figure out which way to go. When Alicia began speaking about the benefits of being a Vegan I became a fan. I waited a few weeks and purchased the book Apr 27. I had my 10 year college reunion and this was my goodbye to meat and dairy weekend party. Once I got back to NYC from the reunion I felt gross and had major cramps. I began to change my diet that next day and received Alicia's book that Thurs. I was hooked! I have only been Vegan for 1 month and I'm in love!! I feel so much better. I have been cooking the receipies from the book and love them. When I see meat and dairy products I literally get almost sick to my stomach. I have lost 10lbs and people I have not seen in a while tell me that I look great and to keep it up! I have also been trying to convert people. I actually lost a friendship, but we did not see eye to eye on many issues, but being rude towards my new Vegan lifestyle was the icing on the cake! I have made friends with my local health food store specialist and he has emailed me tips about alkalines! I just stared my Flax Seed Oil doses. Last weekend I went to a birthday party and wore a blouse that I have not been able to wear in a few years!! I usually suffer with sever cramps and this past menstrual cycle I had no cramps! If I decide to go out to eat I make sure the the restaurant is Vegan friendly. Living in NYC it's so easy and FUN to be Vegan! The Union Sq Farmers Market and my neighborhood food coop are my best friends! Thank you Alicia you are a true GEM!!! Kind Lifer Kia Williams
