Does anyone have any advice about keeping a vegan diet while traveling in Europe? (Specifically Italy and Spain)? Thanks!

When ordering out in Spain make sure you are very specific about what you dont eat. I hear that both chicken and fish are considered Vegetarian!!

Also came across this link: The Spanish Vegan Society

I have never been to Italy or Spain but I currently live in Europe and have traveled quite a lot! Just be careful with soup, ask if there is any animal broth in any soup you want.

I always make it know I don't want cheese or butter on anything I order. Even if the meal doesn't say cheese, they like to top everything off with parmesan cheese or any other cheese. So I always tell my waiter to please make sure no cheese will be added. I hope I helped a little
