Is shichimi Superhero?

Hi - I've added schichimi (otherwise known as nanami or Japanese 7 spice) to a couple of dishes, but was wondering if it's a Superhero condiment? Seem to remember that there's a recipe for ginger baked tofu that mentions ommitting red pepper flakes to make it a Superhero dish. Seeing as schichimi is assorted chilli peppers, I thought it may be un S/H too, which would be a shame as it tastes fantastic with scrambled tofu!
