I have been adoring my new vegan way of life. All my dishes so far have been delicious and I have actively avoided meat substitutes. Anywho, I thought I would give this Granose soy mince a go - I was making a ragu. You have to rehydrate the stuff first: I should've known then really! O.M.G. this is vile, vile stuff and made me feel ill. Don't get me wrong I ate the ragu and at the time I thought it was passable. I had loads left over so the next day I made Shepherds Pie and my Mum thought it was nice - bear in mind I did disguise it with lentils and a heap load of other veg! I knew at that stage I was less than keen but because I hate wasted food I forced myself to have the leftovers for my lunch - glutton for punishment, eh? It set me back considerably and made me want to eat something comforting and familiar although I'm glad to say I didn't cave. I felt sick to my stomach for two days and every time I think about it it makes me queasy. I advise anyone wanting to try this brand to NOT! Never, ever, again.
