On Saturday, June 26th, Sweet Avenue Bake Shop is holding their annual Cupcake Fest: http://www.sweetavenuebakeshop.com/cupcakefest

Anyone interested in meeting up?

I might go! I've been wanting to try their cupcakes for some time now.

(Did you know the Rutherford Pancake house, also on Park ave, has a vegan menu? Been meaning to go there too!)

Yup. I've been there a few times! The food is really good and the menu has expanded so much since the last time I've been there. I was actually thinking about going before or after CupcakeFest. They even use Daiya cheese now. :)

SABS's cupcakes are absolutely delicious; moist and dense. And they sell Go Max Go candy bars but from what I remember, they close the actual store during the festival so unless they're selling them there, you'd have to wait until after to get one.

Too bad the diner is only open til 3. They should stay open for dinner.

Sab's cupcakes look amazing. I live in jersey and everytime I need a cupcake fix I end up at Babycakes in NY, go figure!

I think the hours have been extended until 7pm or something on certain days. I remember reading about it somewhere.

Edit: It looks like they were open longer hours, but have since switched back.

CupcakeFest was a blast. A friend of mine entered the cupcake eating contest (and lost) but the guy who won was like a cupcake eating machine. It was crazy.

I wound up winning one of the baskets from the raffle. Got a call from them today and will be going to pick it up this week. They said it was a Tea basket from The Rutherford Pancakes House, so I'm happy with that :)
