I just got the book last week - but I have discovered that I have been a flirt for years. I think that this is going to be a very natural progression for me. I remember being very little and being freaked out by meat, my mom's typical response "Just don't think about it and eat!" Really?!?! Well, I can't do that anymore. I havent' had meat since Tuesday and I feel great. I made rustic pasta for dinner and my family didn't even bat an eye. They even went to the farmers market with me this morning. I had already made changes regarding everyday living - so this is going great!

I am kind of right there with you :). I don't eat much dairy. I have a low tolerance for it. Meat I could go without but I cook it for my husband.Tonight I made chicken for him and my BIL but for myself i had a huge plate of brown rice and roasted veggies and it was A-Maz-ING! I have two sons, my oldest is 3 1/2 and refuses to eat meat.. .. good for him right? So I'm already adapted to lots of beans, whole grains and veggies, and I really enjoy them. I'm ready to make a change. I belong to another forum for moms and I've been cooking vegan stuff and posting recipes/pics for the ladies on there. So far loving it. My only obstacle is we don't have a large health food store here, so it hard for me to get my hands on some of the things I need. :(
