In Alicias' book there are several pics of stoneware dinnerware... anyone know where to find? I bought pricey dinnerware from World Market and it is all chipped now.

I have a set of Phaltzgraff( sp?) that I have had for 18 years! It is basic off-white, with a little trim around the edges. I broke one dinner plate a while back, just dropped it on stone floor. However the rest of the set is intact, not chipped or stained, and it is still used everyday. In fact, I use nothing else, ever, just add some funky colored pottery pieces with company. I do know that brand is everywhere, and quite possibly it is not all the same. (quality?).

I use Corelle dishes. One of their claims is that they are very difficult to break. Which is true. I did drop one outside on the cement and it broke. But just everyday use and use for kids it is fantastic. I have had mine for close to 20 years. They do have a web site but you can buy it at Wal-mart in sets or as individual pieces. I won't buy anything else. I just found 4 saucers at a garage sale for $1
