I am having a hard time finding a good Superhero cookbook. I can find plenty of vegan cookbooks but they always seem to be calling for processed ingredients. I would love to have a variety of recipes to make! Does anyone know of a great cookbook or blog?

Hi Elle :-)

Modern Day Macrobiotics by Simon Brown is a good one...simple to follow recipes and all macrobiotic. A really good one to start with.

Hip Chicks Guide to Macrobiotics - another easy to follow one.

Clean Food - lovely, wholesome recipes for every season.

The Macrobiotic Way by Michio Kushi - this one by the "master"...a good place to learn more.

I hope this helps :-)

Clean Food is a great one. Beautiful book and great recipes. I think I will have to pick up the Hip Chicks one next.

Any of Christina Pirello's cookbooks. She is the godess of whole foods vegan cooking and has an emmy winning cooking show on t.v. - Cooking the Whole Foods Way and This Crazy Vegan Life are my favs. I just found The Therapeutic Chef by Kristin Doyle and it is a true gem. I am in love with this cookbook. They both have websites as well.

Has anyone tried the Millenium Cookbook- the artful vegan? I was looking at it today and it looked pretty good... but the nutritional breakdowns confused me... were they for the whole recipe or for each individual component of the recipe?

Also, do any of these cookbooks have the nutritional information? Looking for good cookbook with that...

Hi Madison :)

Most of the books have about nutrition in them but personally, I found that the Thrive Diet book by Brendan Brazier, had the most uselful information of all. He goes into great detail about nutrition etc and I certainly have learnt a lot from it.

I haven't heard of the Millenium Cookbook...will check it out though :)
