Volunteer Work?

Hi fellow kind lifers!


I am 18 and looking for a volunteer opportunity for this summer. I would love to do something that helps others in need. My initial thought was to go a on shoe drop in Argentina with TOMS, but sadly there is not one scheduled for this summer. Has anyone heard of any opportunities that are available in late August and early September?

i think that the farm animal sanctuary in watkins glen, NY has a volunteer weekend once a month. Or maybe it's just a saturday? It's not a long-term commitment kind of colunteering but if you live close enough it could be a great way to volunteer for a day or two. Goodluck! Also in NY there is a great non-profit called FreeArtsNYC. They provide various art programs for kids from underprivileged homes and neighborhoods. I have been volunteering for them for a while and they are an amazing organization! Good luck!
