I have been trying to replace my old yucky beauty products for awhile now. I will read about a great product and then go buy it and then will read that its not so good. I AM SOOOO FRUSTRATED AT THIS POINT!

I used to use Bare Escentuals, but they were bought out by Shiseido (who tests on animals) plus they use some ground up insects in some of their colors. So bye bye BE. I got totally excited about Pureology hair care and bougt small bottles (thank goodness) to try. Then read that they contain bad chemicals, so I read the ingredients and noticed the shampoo and conditioner contain parabens!! ARRGGGhhh!! So then I decide to try Aveda products for my hair and skin, skin care is OK and hair products are looking like they wont work to well for me but I am still undecided. Then I just read another post about how they are owned by Estee Lauder, who tests on animals. So I ask you-

WHAT IS A GIRL TO DO?

I need "Kind" and "As natural as possible" products for Acne, Oily but Dry Skin, and Kinky Curly, thick hair. Please Please Please give me some Ideas!!

P.S. Maybe I am just Pre- Menstral or something, is this really worth freaking out about?? LOL!!

Yes, affordable skincare, so far Dr. Hauchka is a good choice, not as pricey as some, but I do love these products so far, as for shampoo/conditioner, Giovanni is my favorite for 4 years. Giovanni is found at Target and Walgreens. If Dr Hauchka is sold out, then I use Aubrey skincare products.

Thank you Patty!! I also recently picked up a sample size of the Giovanni Shampoo, and thought I got a conditioner too, but it was a different shampoo. I used it for the first time today and will have to see how it turns out. I wll check out the skin care- Thanks again!!

I second Dr. Hauchka - have been using the quince moisturizer for YEARS and yes, a small tube costs 30 something bucks BUT it lasts me almost 6 months! In terms of hair/body care, I am a big fan of John Masters stuff - check out the website. Shipping is free, and if you find you like the shampoo/conditioner, they sell it in huge bulk bottles at a big savings - I have the crazy curly hair too, and between his rosemary shampoo, intensive adv. conditioner, leave in neoroli detangler and the hair oil stuff it tames it! and smell great! also love his vanilla orange body moisturizer. And for toner and deodorant, I love Welada - rose toner and sage deodorant.

Organique by Himalaya is really ogood. I used to have really long hair, and everything dried it out. This stuff is awesome, the ingredients are great and it works. They have skin care as well, but I've never tried it.

I use Aveda because it's cruelty-free, here is the Skin Deep on Estee Lauder:

I highly recommend Gabriel Cosmetics and skin care which also is Zuzu Luxe cosmetics. I love Gabriel cosmetics foundation and blush and Zuzu Luxe eyeshadows! Also Alima Cosmetics has some great products. I really like their loose eyeliners! On the Alima website you can order samples for $1.00. With Gabriel cosmetics, they were awesome! I simply wrote them an email explaining that I was in the process of switching all my products and could they please send me some samples. They replied back and asked me a few questions about my skin. Well guess what? Just a short time later they sent me a wonderful supply of samples of skin care and cosmetics! They were generous supplys at that! I was so excited to receive my package!!

I hope this helps! Best wishes on finding what works for you!!

I recommend trying Olivier Skin Care Products. Check out their products www.oliviersoaps.com. All their products are all natural and made from raw materials. They have a whole Derma line and other products for sensative skin. I use the womens (Femme) line and love it. I have really sensative and dry skin and since I started using these products I have had no problems. Good Luck ~
