Will my body still feel the benefits if I begin at the Flirting stage rather then dive into the Vegan???

Prolly, bot not as much as you get from just diving in. Personally, and everyone is different, but I think flirting just prolongs the cravings and detox and not wanting to give things up. I dove right in and the only time I have eaten a nasty food (dairy) was when I was at a restaurant and they put cheese on the plain bean burrito that I ordered. Anyways, do what feels right to you. If you start with flirting, chances are you will start to feel good and want to feel even better. :)

Thanks, peasandlove, I guess I have really started further than flirting. I am in the process of eliminating all meat, dairy, and sugar. Only day 2!!! Thanks so much for your post. Its nice to know I am not alone and with friends who have "been there!!"

Hi Marcy - so great that you are in the process of eliminating....

Sugar is so addictive and the sooner you kick that (it is in everything!) the better.

Good luck!

Flirting can be nice though ;) Everybody is different and thats why there are several ways to go...

Just do what fits you (your ways, character/body) best. There was just one post about someoene who said that for her slowly gradually is best because ortherways it dont stick... And I was vegetarian for a long time, than throw out milk from my diet and much much later cheese and everything else...

But onec i started to do that it was real fast :)

So do what feels best for you!

I'm at the flirting stage and it's already been 3 days since I ate anything with meat or dairy in it and it feels good. I hope to stay on it forever.

Im 2 weeks meat free and 3 hours dairy free. For me I'm finding it easier to eliminate 1 thing at a time. Dairy for me is going to be the hardest i think. I'm having a Soy Cappucino at breakfast and I LOVE it! The soy milk makes it taste nutty which is really good. Tonight I'll try my MILO with rice milk and see how I go.

Good luck!

In the beginning I used to go to stores and just spend a lot of time looking at the new foods, reading labels and looking for new vegetables etc etc It was great fun, a real exploration :)
What ever you do, enjoy it!
