Hi everyone. Today is my 3rd day of the superhero diet and its sooo harrddddd. I have been a vegetarian for 2.5 yrs but I have a major sweet tooth. How is everyone dealing with their sugar cravings? I also have a huge soft spot for cheese, espeically since I stopped eating meat, I kind of started using it as a subsitute. I plan on being a super hero for about 70% of my diet and the rest staying along my regular veggie routine. But this first week I want to stay as strict on the superhero as I can. Also I have a really small fridge in a studio apt. so its hard for me to keep stocked up on lots of foods. Any good suggestions of some staples to keep around?
hi congrats on 3 days in! i also have limited fridge space(ie old fridge) haha. on sunday nights i cook up a pot of brown rice and a pot of beans. it usually lasts the full week. and then i buy fresh greens and veggies for only a few days at a time, so they stay fresh. to keep things interesting i keep pumpkin seed, sunflower seeds and gomashio in the pantry. for breakfast i usually have ezekial bread with pb and bananas( not sure if bananas are superhero). hope this helps. i used to have a wicked sweet craving every night. i would have to beg my husband to go to 7-11 for me. but since eating about 80-90% superhero for over a month i have absolutely no sweet cravings. and for me that is a miracle.
