I'm not looking for fashiony boots, I mean, I live in Alaska! These need to be waterproof, and they need to afford some good protection against the elements (read: be WARM!). I've never found any (I have a pair that I bought BIWV (Before I Went Vegan)) so they've got leather.

I know if someone can help me, you guys can! Thanks!

Hello Jessica,

I'm not a vegan, but I'm trying to find ways to buy more sustainable and environment friendly products. I hate UGGS and the moonboots type winterboot, so i looked for other more elegant snowboots, i found these through amazon, they are called pavers, type 'geri' http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pavers-Geri/dp/B001EVG198. The shoe has a textile inner and outer, but the material for the sole says 'other', that one must be some sort of rubber or plastic, it has some great grip.

I ordered them, just put them on and they look way more elegant than on the picture. Also, theyre super comfy and waterproof, they get great reviews, you should check them out!

Be aware though, i havent fully checked they are 100% vegan, but nowhere is it mentioned they use animal products.

I really hope theyre 100% vegan!

I did some searching and found out that there are a few styles from Sorel that are vegan (no leather or felt):

The Cumberland, Glacier and Snowlion models are super intense snow boots (glacier is more everyday, and glacier and snowlion are arctic superboots.

I live in michigan and I might evenutally order one of those.

For less intense vegan boots try:

I don't know if you can order these:

For trail gor-tex boots, these would work:

Pangea has some warm waterproof basic black boots that are ethically made in Canada

I'm kind of shopping for boots too...

i bought a pair from Payless made by Airwalk that will keep you warm for up to -20 celsius. They're pretty great!

greengeek-I was also looking at those boots too!

I live in Saskatchewan, and our winters are long(+4 months) and cold(-50) and snowy(several feet), so warm vegan winter boots are a must!

Primawool is not vegan.
