quinoa is also really yummy with pears and plums.
when i gave blood recently i needed a big breakfast so i made quinoa with fresh plums that i heated in water until they were soft, linseed, walnuts, seeds and almonds. Sprinkle with chia seeds and brown rice syrup.

It's really great with kale, like steamed, maybe add some vegan pesto,

or some, fresh sauteed tomato sauce (with veggies- of many sorts- broccoli, carrots, zucchini...)

or a side of zucchini with coconut oil

or some fresh parsley, hemp oil, nutritional yeast and sea salt.

olives, sun dried tomatoes, red peppers

It is great for breakfast- like with golden rasins, almonds, maybe a baked apple

oh, that is really sad they cannot any more

that's kind of wrong in a way

I do see boxes that promote fair trade, so it seems you are helping them

Really, we should be eating local grains,

here in the mid west that can get tricky as most are corn and might cause gluten sensititives, even to oats, and esp wheat- though they can be sprouted

Macrobiotics says you can import things from the same geographical plane, something like this, for health reasons if needed

I do eat non local things,

but more and more am buying most all I can at the farmers market-

I even saw pumpkin seed oil from Wisconsin at whole Foods!

I don't know how anyone feels about brown rice being transported around the U.S., I've heard said we should find alternatives to transporting things, like maybe rice trucks should run on vegetable oil, it is very nutritious !

they should really do something about that quinoa situation,

its their genetic food, what they should be eating!

Maybe a fund should be created to send some back to them!

Usually different color bell pepper, onion/green onion and courgette.

I will add a bean from there such as black beans, chickpeas etc.

I just started utilizing my leftover quinoa for breakfast. Take some cooked quinoa and put it in a saucepan with almond milk (if you want) and cinnamon. Much better than oatmeal!
