I struggle the most with these foods ... thoughts, suggestions?
Thanks! I've been thinking of getting a juicer, as I love making soy milk and fruit mixes so it had me wondering about juicing. I appreciate the advice.
I've been vegan my whole adult life and didn't start liking leafy greens until about a year or so ago! And I still hate spinach/chard! so give yourself time -
my solution is to just make a great sauce.....well, I'm lazy so my solution is to mix some tahini, lemon and a wee bit of salt and pour it on top of whatever I'm eating if its something I don't love!
another great thing is I always roast up a bunch of pecans or other nuts and keep them in a jar on the kitchen counter - if something I cook isn't my favorite or needs "something" I just drizzly (ok....douse!) it with olive oil and sprinkle with roasted precans - yummy! this is so great with steamed collards -
Thanks Ann! I do keep roasted nuts and olive oil around so this would be an easy idea to help me adjust.
I agree with Danielle that it is so easy with smoothies. We use a mega blender and make smoothies with spinach, kale, chard, fruit, etc. Most of the time you can barely taste them. I do love greens though. We put them in our soups or eat them steamed with some minced garlic. Mmmm.
any resource suggestions for a new juicer/smoothie maker?
Thanks guys!
