A lot of recipes say to use a sieve and I have no idea where to buy one or what I'm really looking for. Today I bought cheese cloth to strain something in a recipe I read about (not sure which one) I'll find that later, but then it dawned on me cheese cloth is not reusable right? Then I saw in the barley casserole it mentions a sieve. Any Suggestion for me? smiley-undecided.gif

They're like colanders but with MUCH smaller holes. They usually made out of metal mesh - or at least in England they are! Do you know what a tea strainer looks like? They are like a giant version of those. Cor blimey, talking about tea strainers really does make me sound very English.

One shouldn't set you back more than a few dollars.

Thank You Terra for your helpful information. I need one for seeds and rice, etc., right? I don't know what do you use to drain these items? smiley-undecided.gif

Hi Kathleen from England. Thank you, I'll be looking for this sieve thing tomorrow. I just noticed a lot of recipes call for using the sieve. smiley-laughing.gif
