Hello Frieds,
I am planning to install a swimming pool in my garden.can anyone suggest me what should i keep in mind while installing it?
Alan -
Are you putting in a lap pool or an Endless Pool?
I would like to install an above ground pool yet not decided lap or endless want your suggestion on that to which i should give preferance?I have wide enough backyard to install pool but bit confused over it...Thanks for your reply Ahelee.......
How about a natural pool I read about them in one of the British magazines and it seems tat they are replacing the blue, chlorinated ones. Definately what I will have when it become a viable option (we have a blue chlorinated one and we keep finding dead frogs)
I got the floor model from the pool store. It was really cheap and I just got a new liner for it.
Kate - this is related to your frog comment. Do you keep anything in the pool for the frogs to climb up on? I know they make special 'lily pads' you can attach to your pool so the frogs can climb up on them, but you can probably rig something if you haven't tried that yet.
I have a pool and I have "beach" entry at both ends. This simply a sloped entry on each end of the pool. I placed some none skip material on it so that cats, dogs and other animals can get out of the pool. I have and feed several feral cats and dogs and I would only put in the pool if it were completely safe for all animals. I have several floats that I leave in the pool for frogs etc. to climb on

Is it possible to post a photo here?
Love the "kind" applications for swimming pools in the messages here!
Alan - how fortunate to be able to put in a full size lap pool. I am a swimmer and would love something like this.
As well, I have trained in an "Endless Pool" which is a smaller pool with a stream/current of water flowing from the front to keep you swimming in place. A kind of swimming treadmill. A mirror on the bottom of the pool creates a great self-coaching tool.
I have a few swimmers I know or have coached who installed personal lap pools in their backyards. I have photos, but I don't know how to post them here...
