question on waxing and tinting?

Hi everyone!

Can anyone help me with this, please? For years, I've gone to a day spa for eyebrow waxing and eyelash tinting, and never really thought about it. But now that I'm 100% vegan (and loving it!!) it's lead me to think about all kinds of things and thinking about if they are cruelty free or not. My motivation for going vegan is my love of animals, so I've been going through everything in my life, one thing at a time, and making sure that things are cruelty free and changing out what is not, eliminating, etc. Now, I've come to this waxing, and tinting, thing and the aesthetician and myself can not find any info. on the products whatsoever! I've also scowered the internet and can't find anything. The bottom line is if I can't find any info., ultimately I'll give up the procedures, but I hate to take money away from this lovely service provider if it is not warranted (if the products are, in fact, safe). So, I'll have to end up getting a nice cruelty free facial instead! But, I'm wondering what are all of my "vegan kindred spirits" doing for "eyebrow control" etc....just plucking their eyebrows....? I can do that...just really curious. Any input for me? If I can figure out how to mark this post "cool" or something, I'm going to, just to see if you, Alicia, have any helpful suggestions, even though this is not "cool", I realize that, it's just that you have a lot of helpful info. and I need all of the input that I can get. Thanks much!

I also like the "sugaring" option. It works on a similar principle as wax, but the sugaring experts (the ones I go to anyway!) don't use the cloth strips - it's the sugar and their fingers only. They can also reuse the sugar paste several times (on you, not sharing it with other people!!!!) so far less product is used.

Thanks, Danielle and Aleri. I really appreciate having some options, and input. I really need it, and it's great of you to offer some helpful info.! I'll have to look into the options that you've mentioned, because I'm not familiar with them. So I'll have to educate myself, which'll be fun to learn about some new treatments. Thank you!!
