Hi everyone, my name is Hannah and i just joined the website, after reading it for about a month. I have been vegan for the same amount of time, and I did miss my dairy products for a little bit, but last night I was cleaning out the fridge and I saw one of my last greek fage yogurts that was about to expire. I ate it because i didnt want it to go to waste, and alicia was right! after not eating dairy for a while, my body practically rejected the yogurt. I used to lovvveeee greek yogurt with honey and it grossed me out last night! Also, this week i think the diet has started to pay off. People have been giving me crazy compliments about my skin, and people keep asking what is diferent about my hair. I have been doing nothing diferently to my hair and it is much more shiny then it used to be. I havent lost any weight, probably because i have been LOVING the peanut butter cups from the book, and coconut milk ice cream yumm. I only had about five pounds to lose, so im sure if i cut out those things I would really see it drop. If you were like me, and you are just searching the website and havent decided to go vegan yet, DO IT! i feel great and have a new positive outlook on everything i do.
also, does anyone have any ideas of GOOD protien powder? I tried buying a brown rice protien, and it is NASTY! i cant even drink it. i have looked into vega, but its soooo expensive. I also dont want a soy powder because Im trying to avoid soy as much as possible.
Biochem vegan protein powder is delicious. It is at wholefoods and also online.
