YES! Thats' the place!! I was going to swing by there on my way home from work and see if they had a To Go menu..... places like that are great for me to grab something and save it to take with me to work the next day when I can't find the time or just dont feel like cooking!!

Hey, Adrian, Becky and Susan - I'm from Barnegat and I go up to Kaya's Kitchen alot! Love their new location and the food is AWESOME! And Susan, Becky is right - your friends can find something there they like, I'm sure! I've taken several non-veg friends and family there and they always love it! Other veg places near me include Livin On the Veg on Long Beach Island (excellent food, but they close down in late Fall through March usually, because the Island is pretty dead in the winter), and an Italian restaurant called Via Roma, on the border of Toms River/Lakewood added an extensive Vegetarian/Vegan/Gluten-free menu to their regular menu in the last few months! They use Daiya cheese on the pizzas, etc. - absolutely DELICIOUS!

I'm actually closest to Montclair and have been to Veggie Heaven once and it was amazing! I just went today to a place in NY called Yogi Kitchen and it was so good! Nothing beats Hangawi, though. I love Indian food and have been broadening my horizons to the new options. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Ok so I went to Good Karma Cafe last night (in Red Bank) and it was AWESOME! It's a tiny place, but it's completely vegan and the people that work there are wicked nice. Susan, not sure if you've gone yet, but you MUST try the live nachos!

Adriana, I love Hangawi too! Really incredible, creative dishes. Have you been to Caravan of Dreams? Really good food too. And of course, we go to Babycakes for dessert!

If you want really great pizza, check out Pala. They have a separate vegan menu. Best pizza crust I have ever eaten.

Susan, it's actually accross the street from the globe (on east front street) a little ways down from the workout world. i'm getting my hair done around the corner from there tonight, and i'm actually thinking about getting something to go from good karma : ) don't judge : )

also if you ever want to go to kayas kitchen and your friends aren't down, let me know! we could always try to meet up some time. maybe we could get a kind life group together if others live close and are interested???

HAHA!! I'm sure once I go the first time I'll become a Good Karma Groopie!! No judgements from me!! :)

Getting together sounds great as well as getting a group together...it would be nice to eat out and not have to justify and explain what I'm eating. Maybe next week some time?
