Starfish

I have just be it come vegan - all on my own in NZ! Thanks for this site by the way, it helps enormously not to feel alone in this. I wanted to share this little story which helps me when I think of the enormity of horribleness...
A boy was throwing starfish into the sea that had been stranded by the high tide to save them from the hot sun. A man came along and said to the boy, you can't possibly make a difference, look how many there are stranded and dying! the boy picked up another starfish and threw it into the ocean and replied, it makes a difference to that one.

Thank you. That just made my day. I was literally JUST sitting here thinking about how I'm going to make any difference by not eating that poor cow or pig--how can little ole me make any difference--then you posted that. Awesome. Thanks.
