Addiction to vegan grain sweetened chocolate chips

I have been trying to become superhero slowly. I have been a vegan for about two years now, but I am having trouble giving up vegan grain sweetened chocolate chips. I have gotten rid of all processed food besides that, but for some reason I can't seem to shake them. Whenever I do I end up binge eating things like bread and cereal with soymilk. Just to be clear this isn't a once in a while treat, it's everyday with almonds.

If anyone has any suggestions on how I can get off this habit or switch to something a bit healthier, i would greatly appreciate it, because I think that it has been keeping me from losing some extra weight that I have put on.

THANKS!

Have you tried any of the superhero desserts? She says it's okay to have vegan deserts every once in a while...and at least they are grain sweetened, not all sugary. So maybe try to allow yourselves those chocolate chips a few times a week for now, and work in some of the superhero desserts to replace it the other days when you have a sweet craving. This isn't in the book, but I love to just grill up some fruit - last week I did nectarine slices- with some brown rice syrup or the sweetener of your choice (not white sugar obviously) and eat it with some mochi -- amazing dessert and I think (don't qute me) that's superhero.

Thanks! I switched to mochi with some brown rice syrup drizzled over it, but I was still doing that everyday, ahhh, yummy sweetness. But I finally have it under control, I slowly started weening myself off basically. Since I have stopped eating sweets (all the time, I still do once a weekish), the seven pounds that I have gained have started to fall off! YAY! Now I'm only four up. :) Thank you for your advice! The fruit idea sounds AMAZING!
