Macrobiotic/Vegan in Forida!!

Hello everyone! My name is Jenny and I'm 22 years old. I've been living a Macrobiotic lifestyle for almost a year now and I LOVE it! However, I am the only one out of all my friends and people I know who are vegan and it sometimes gets a little hard :(
I would love to meet people who have similar beliefs about food and loving life as I do and if you live in FL, great! I'd love to share recipes, life stories and keep in touch! Maybe even get together and try new Vegan-friendly restaurants! Lets get this discussion going!! :)
Hey Jenny! What part of FL are you from? I live in Orlando. I've been vegan for almost 2 years now and I know what you mean about how it is hard being the only one around. I have one friend who is vegan and everyone else just doesn't get it!
Hey ladies...I live in St. Pete. I have been a vegetarian for 11 years but have decided to go vegan starting January. I am using up the ingredients in my fridge until then. I have no vegan friends, and few veg friends. I am excited and cannot wait to feel the difference that a kind diet will bring.
I live in OR but ... if you want your friends to become a part of your passion I would pass on Alicia's book as well as The Food Inc. Film...and any other books...but I understand it's hard - but just stick your guns and what might happen is you can start having your friends over and introducing them to veg food - so they realize it's not all about tofu!
