What I once thought was sooo extreme, is making more sense to me now. Just planted our garden today and will be adding a few new hens to our flock! Can't wait! I know you're like, "HENS???" Yes, I am a strong believer in the EGG. Good for you and when you're raising your own flock you decide how much love and nutrients goes into your food. By the way, I raise them lovingly for eggs only!! Just had to clarify! I've totally cut down on my meat and dairy but I'm also doing gluten free which has made a HUGE difference in my body. I was having intestinal pain and then some every day for 2 wks. until I finally had enough. ... It's causing me to eat way more simply and I've dropped weight with a quickness (wasn't desiring too) but my stomach is stronger and my whole mentality on food is clearer! That's why I grabbed alicias book at the library...for inspiration for change ...which I got tenfold...and how in the heck do I incorporate eating MORE vegetables in a yummy way....I was surprised how moved I was by reading this book. Alicia and I have the same mind, it's kinda funny and waaay comforting ,. although, we do differ in small ways. I have a meat and potatoes hubby as big as paul bunyan, and even though he doesn't fully agree, I cook for him and he likes it! He's not compaining. We're both excited for our glorious garden that if the Lord blesses it we will be set!! How cool is that?? I've reccommended the book to family for a very healthy mindset on how and what we eat! Thanks Alicia!
