My husband and I have taken the plunge have been going veg. for a few weeks now. So far we hadn't excluded dairy yet but I think we're heading that way. We watched Food Inc. a while back and are now reading The Kind DIet. I've thought about going meatless lots of times I just wasn't sure how to go about getting started. I don't have any friends who are vegan and there aren't any vegetarian restaurants anywhere where we live. We also don't have gourmet grocery stores and some of the more exotic or ethnic foods Alicia describes and uses frequently just aren't available. But so far everything is going great. We've mostly been eating raw foods and experimenting with cooking here and there. I'm so glad there is this community online for support and answers. I look forward to meeting some vegan friends!
