That's great they're vegan, but my biggest issue with all this junk is all the other ingredients: corn syrup (you can pretty much bet that's genetically modified), artificial flavoring (whatever that means), and dye - in particular red dye, which many kids are allergic to. I love Halloween, but I may have to forego the candy. Individual raisins and pretzels may just be thrown out, so I don't know if those are a good alternative, organic candy is expensive, and no parent these days will let a child eat something homemade. Indeed, Halloween is a tough one. I did not celebrate this holiday as a child but i remember one year my mom bought a massive amount of toothbrushes and handed them out to trick or treaters! It might be a cute idea provided one buys them from a sustainable eco-friendly toothbrush brand and has the money to afford it ofcourse.
