I am having a few people over for dinner for Halloween. I usually make a 3 bean vegan chili, but was thinking about making something different this year. What is everyone else making?

I don't think I've ever had a "halloween dinner" but it sounds fun! I'm having a favourite soup potluck, later on this season. The idea is that everyone brings their favourite vegan soup, and I prepare all the buns, and breads for dipping! Vegan chili is delicious though! I wonder if you could bake up some yummy halloween vegan treats as well! I made Alicia's peanut butter pie from the kind diet, for thanksgiving, and it was very well received!

Growing up, my mother would always make a pumpkin stew inside a pumpkin! I'm not sure how, but I was planning on asking her. I'm sure you can also google "cooking in a pumpkin" or something like that and find recipes...but it was always fun to eat out of the pumpkin in our costumes before we got to go wreack havoc on the neighborhood ;-)

Since it's fall, I would do some kind of squash recipe. Danielle's idea sound like it could be really yummy. You can also make stuffed squash, of any variety.

A squash recipe, might be a great compliment to the chili. So maybe I'll keep the chili and just add the squash. I might take a look at the PB pie recipe. Last year I made the peanut butter cups, and they were hit. But the pie sounds good too. Thanks guys.
