I was just curious as to what everyone moisturizes their body with, like after showering/before bed, etc.
My mom was at a conference this weekend and was talking to a lady who owns a local skin care store downtown, and they were talking about shea butter and hemp seed oil. I've been using a hemp-based lotion on my body (I have eczema) and it is OKAY... I mean, no great results or anything, but it seems to slowly be doing its job. My body is also probably still detoxing, so who knows.
Does the coconut oil make your skin extremely oily/ shiny? I've read a few places of people using this after showering to moisturize, but always figured it'd make me too oily to put clothes on and go out in.
try to source evening primrose oil (Oenothera biennis) or a product that contains it. What also may help is hempseed oil. These oils are said to be very beneficial for allergic, dry, itchy skin. I have atopic dermatitis since childhood but am almost symptom-free these days. The couple of times a year where the symtoms return I use one of the oils and most of the times I'm fine after a couple of days.
Right now, I'm into mineral skin care range by Omorovicza. I personally love the Balancing Moisturizer with appel pectin, pineapple, and rosemary. At night, I use their Instant Plumping Cream for my wrinkles and fine lines.
I've been using Alba's "jasmine & vitamin E" moisture cream for a few years now, as a basic face moisturizer. My skin is dry, so at night I put on my various serums and then on top of everything goes a slather of the Alba Cream. It's my "go to" night cream.
