I'm in Manitoba, just outside of Brandon. It is super-rural out here, and shopping is a bit of a trick. I don't know what I would do without this site for inspiration, and daily reminders of why I'm on this path.

Northern Alberta here. I've noticed a couple "fast food" places like Wok box, and Taco Del Mar have vegan options on their menus now. Some nice ladies in town here hold a "Vegan cooking class" every couple months as well, very fun!

I'm from Saskatchewan too! I live in a small town in the South East corner of the province. We actually moved here from Regina about 2 years ago.

I'm from Kelowna BC :) Amy, I find the easiest places to get food on the go are from Health Food Grocery stores - usually they'll have a cafe. Besides that, you can never go wrong with ethnic food places. Most Japanese, Mexican, Vietnamese, Ethiopian, Indian, etc are based on veggies, noodles/rice, tofu/beans & spices!!

I've only been to the Fainting Goat once, but it was great and I've heard nothing but good things from everyone I know who's been there. 13th Ave Coffee house is one of my faves, gotta love the rice bowls! I sometimes get jealous reading all the posts about amazing vegan restaurants in LA and NY, there's definately less choice in smaller towns! (kirene, i feel your pain haha) But its way easier to find organic and natural foods now, even superstore has dedicated an entire section to it! Plus theres Dad's Organic Market, and of course the farmers market in the summer. Progress!
