Are any of you juicing out there? Is it safe to juice and/or make green smoothies while pregnant? Any advice/opinions would be appreciated!

Thanks, e.

Hey, I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this question. My thought is that juice and smoothies would be great because they are digested much more quickly, so that would help when food comes back up via morning sickness. But extra care would be needed to make sure you're getting enough protein and other nutrients. Any other thoughts?

i was just told by a friend that you can o.d. on micro bacterias that get highly concentrated when you juice- so she was told not to juice by her doctor while pregnant. but, i also know someone who juiced tons during her entire pregnancy and was ok. seems that theres not a lot of info?

I too was wondering this same question. When pregnant, you are to stay away from unpasteurized juices because of the high bacteria content, this also included juices from juice bars.
I juice a lot at home but now that we are thinking of getting pregnant, I'm not sure if it is safe.
I'm wondering if the veggies we use are organic, if that helps at all?

I've been juicing at home. I don't see why it would be a problem. I'm going to be eating those fruits and juices whole with or without my juicer. I haven't heard anything saying it's bad. Please let me know if you hear anything.
