I decided to go Vegan for health reasons, though the part about helping animals does appeal to me as well. I began with a 7 day raw food detox which i just completed :-) I had been feeling very sluggish, with no energy and very bloated. Now I feel so much better already! For my 1st vegan meal, I made a recipe my mom found for me. It included quinoa, sweet potatoes, kale, mushrooms, white wine (substituted with white grape juice). It was sooo good! Loved it! I'm so excited about cooking more vegan recipes. I'm not a big cook really but since the decision tobecome a Vegan, I also have decided that I will be cooking more to avoid eating junk foods so much.
Congrats, Amy! Wow, I'm super impressed. Going vegan should be a walk in the park for you now! I've tried to do one of those cleanses at least 5 different times and couldn't even get through the first day!
