Hi everyone I am in California and I posted about a month ago because I had read a few books including Skinny B, The Kind Diet, and am in the process of reading The China Study. I feel so much more informed now than ever before. I have given up all meat, eggs, and processed foods and most dairy. I want to lose a little bit of weight and was wondering if I should start with the vegan portion of the diet or just go ahead with the Superhero portion? What would get me the best results but would be pretty easy to incorporate? Also I have a question about raw milk vs. regular milk? I was wondering if it is any better to drink raw milk than regular pasteurized milk - this is for my daughters and husband. I have given up all milk already. Thanks!
Well I decided to go with the Superhero portion of the Kind Life and I already feel really good! Yesterday I had the millet porridge for breakfast along with some steamed kale, for lunch I had the fried udon noodles and for dinner I made the hijiki-tofu croquettes along with the basil quinoa. I already feel a lot lighter. I noticed that I wasn't even craving sugar or hungry throughout the day. My meals kept me full which is something that is new for me. I am looking forward to losing weight and feeling even better - thanks Alicia!
Superhero! I lost 12lbs in 2 weeks!
From a physician's perspective, pasteurized. Cannot carry pathogens. Have they tried Almond milk? Vanilla Almond milk is good and most people easily transition from regular milk to almond milk.
I hope that helps. Jenna
P.S. My blog might be helpful too. It is all from a medical perspective though. www.theplantrx.com
