After reading Alicia's book 'The Kind Diet" I became an educated vegetarian. Vegetarian way of life always appealed to me but I never knew how to go about starting. The book gave me the needed tools and inspiration. Since reading Alicia's book I have also been following posts on "The kind life" site for many months now and I am still a vegetarian and am proud of it! J
My name is Victoria and I love pets. Once I became more familiar with healthy eating and noticed positive effects on my life, and my overall well-being I also decided that my dear dog of 9 yrs, Brandy, also deserves a healthy diet. My family has a long tradition and experience in baking. I've done my research and with dedication and love I started to bake vegetarian biscuits for my chocolate lab. Soon after I was baking vegetarian biscuits for dogs of my friends and neighbors. With great feedback and encouraging words I decided to share my love for pets by sharing the biscuits with other dog owners.
Almost a year ago I started a baking business focusing on vegetarian biscuits for dogs. The aim was to make sure that all ingredients are organic and packaging is recycled. This holiday season I made another step forward, vegan biscuits! Brandy loves them, and I'm sure her furry friends will love them as well.
Thank you for helping me make my life better!
With love,
Victoria
Hello, Victoria!
That's a wonderful story! Thank you for sharing! Too bad we can't post pics as I would love to see a pic of your pup. I feel the same way about my old girl as your do your. My girl is an 11yr old vizsla. She is the love of my life. It's funny that you mention the vegetarian biscuits because I just began to start searching for vegan ones online for my girl. Again, thinking along the same lines as you! :)
I love the idea. Where are you located? In the U.S? As a hobby. I keep a blog on plant-based nutrition. I've never seen one for animals...hm, perhaps an idea for you? Would definitely help promote your Biscuits!
People could even order them off your blog.
Just an idea. Well, best of luck to you. Happy New Year! Kindest Regards, Jenna (www.theplantrx.com)
