Hi, everyone!
My name is Carol, I´m 23 years old and I live in Brasil. I´m a photographer and also work in Fashion. Recently, me and my boyfriend are moving from Rio de Janeiro to Brasilia in a search of a healthier and eco-friendly way of living. It´s a big change and I created a blog about it. I´m still not a vegan... But I´m trying to be a vegetarian and I´m doing great. Today, I only eat fish like.. twice a month.
Here in Brasil, is very expensive and complicated to be a vegetarian, or a vegan, or an organic food eater. But we´re trying =]

Hello, Carol! Funny that I came across your post because one of my good friends from here in Los Angeles, CA is in Rio right NOW! He keeps updating his facebook showing all these great pics from Rio! I am totally jealous and wish I were there. I'll definitely check out your blog, it sounds great.
Regarding being Vegan, baby steps. :) You'll get there. And when you decide to everyone on this site is super amazing and super helpful. :)

I´m sure your friend will love Rio. It is a very welcoming city, there is happiness everywere!
I´m moving from Rio to BrasÃlia, another state here in Brasil, our Capital. It's a big change, but I can´t stand the chaos of the big cities anymore. Brasilia is a big city, but not as big as Rio or São Paulo and I´m going to live in the country area there...I´m excited to start this new life!
I'll let you all know when I start being Vegan! It´s a dream that will come true!

My names Rachael I've been Vegan for about two months now and my boyfriend as well he is from Sao Paulo Brasil. By the way love his mother she cooks her meat meals for the family and then vegan for me and him so that's really cool that she does that for us. It's also hard here to be Vegan prices are so much higher for healthy food, and there arent any resturaunts around here for vegans. It's definately a change in lifestyle and I feel great. I'm sure you will do wonderful I will ask my boyfriend for some of his mom's recipes and post them for you. Oh yes and we're supposed to be going to Brasil next year I cannot wait to experience the culture and foods there.
