So, to make a long story short....I became vegan primarily for health reasons, at least, at first. As a result of health issues, I put 55 lbs on a very skinny frame in a very short period of time. After dealing with that and finding my path of health and enlightenment, I dropped 35 lbs. Cool!!!! and maintained it, for the most part. However, I would now like to lose the last 20. So, would anyone like to join me on my quest for small bummery? I figure the more the merrier and encouraging!

Hey Jillian!

I'm so in! When I was 14 I also had some health problems, and gained a fair amount of weight that resulted in me being about 150 pounds. I also have a small frame, not to mention I was just way too young to have that much weight on me.

I've since lost over 20 pounds (I go between 130-132 depending on the day). While 130 pounds isn't a bad weight, it's just not the weight for me. For my frame (5'4, and quite petite frame), I'd like to lose another 10 (that dreaded "last 10 pounds!!) or more, depending on muscle tone. My ideal goal is to be slim, firm, toned, healthy, and HAPPY.

How do you propose keeping up with this challenge? (should we call it a challenge? or is that just my competitive side coming out? ; ) I noticed recently that there was a "10 in 12" topic running on the forums to lose 10 pounds in December (12 month). Maybe start something simmilar?

I think for me I just need the accountability and motivation of something like this.

Here's to us!

Dear Kirene,

So glad you could make it! Instead of competition, because I don't want to scare any prospects away, let's call it the Booty Drop or the Quest For Small Bummery (unless you can do better-which shouldn't be too hard). Maybe every few days drop a note about our progress, what we're doing to ensure our success, etc. Then, like every Monday or so, report our weight loss, but not our actual weight (I don't want anyone to feel embarrassed or discouraged). What do you think? Let me know.

I need to lose 40 but 20 would be a great start :) I'll participate. I lost a pound so far this week by cutting out the wine, which was flowing freely over the holidays. Also adding in way more veggies and fruit.

I would love to join this Booty Drop too! I've been a vegan since June, but need to lose some weight, I'm hoping for 10-15lbs. When are you all hoping to reach your goal by?

Sydney, No one has really suggested a time limit. Maybe because it puts an undo amount of pressure on people and we all lose weight at different rates, etc. I dunno. Maybe we'll just see how it goes, help each other along, etc. What are your views? Would a time limit be helpful?

I'm in! What a great idea!

I have been vegan since Monday... So I'm in the early stages, but I love the idea of Booty Drop!
