Kind Lifers Down Under!

Hi all,


Wondering if there are any other Kind Lifers our there lurking down under in Australia?? Would love to share info about any great vegan sources, particularly in South Australia. Have had 3 years vegetarian, and now taken the next step to vegan life.

Hi, KIm-


I hope this finds you doing well. I do not live in the area, but I have any idea for you. Are you familiar with a website called www.meetup.com? I am a member of many of their "groups" which are comprised of other vegans, etc. I'm sure there are some in your area... trust me you would be surprised. The groups are great. I even started one myself. It's just an idea but I thought it may help... at the very least I bet you find a ton of other cool groups on things that you are interested in. =)


Also, since you are looking into taking the next step and transitioning to a vegan lifestyle you may be interested in a study we are doing that starts in 1 week (Jan. 15th) in which participants are converting from either a SAD diet (standard American Diet) or a Vegetarian diet to a Vegan (Plant-based) diet for 60 days. They will be blogging throughout the entire experience on my site and we will be measuring the changes in their health parameters as well. It should be fun and interesting since you are considering doing the same. =)

I just joined this site myself (today) - I'm in Sydney. I used to live in Adelaide though! Tell me - is Clear Light Cafe still running? That was my favourite place in the world ten years ago.....


I'm doing a bit of sneaky vegan research (sneaky as I should be working) - I'll let you know if I stumble upon any Aussie gems.....
