This is the first book Alicia recommends reading in The Kind Life. My mom introduced it to me, she stumbled upon it from my uncle who use to work in the pharmaceutical world as a researcher and believes this book's research is spot on. It has converted my mom to veganism who never considered it before and has influenced my sister. I have read 1/4 of it and I'm astounded this science is not mainstream.

IF you need some motivation to stay vegan READ THIS BOOK. If you want more concrete evidence from "experts" read this book. If you want to really understand how animal protein actual effects your body and can cause cancer READ THIS BOOK.

I couldn't have said it better myself, Lea! Spot on! Completely agree! (and I'm a physician btw) Thanks for posting this for folks to read! Excellent idea.

Kindest Regards, Jenna

I'm really excited to read this book. I think I will always have some sort of health/vegan book on the go to help me stay motivated!

Forks Over Knives is the film out right now that basically sums up the book. It has images that are daunting. I recommend seeing that as well... and don't get popcorn before hand. It will make you feel bad about yourself during the film... personal experience :) And yes, I know popcorn isn't probably vegan... but I had a weak moment.
