So happy to hear about all these found health food stores in our area. Anyone ever been to the Hungry Hollow Co-Op?? It's in Chestnut Ridge- Rockland County. I am planning on going soon. From everything I've heard the last few days about the GM alfalfa and Whole Food's, I am definitley going to be sticking to supporting Co-Ops & smaller stores.

Hi everyone, I am in Orange county as well...trying to cross over from being a vegetarian to a vegan...there are great yoga classes in New Paltz at a studio called Ashtanga...small space but AMAZING TEACHERS. On another note I just realized the veggie burgers I have been buying contain dairy and eggs. Do any of you know a vegan brand of veggie burgers?? so excited to have found this board.

Hi Dee!! Try Amy's Organics. They have a great vegan option!!! Actually, they have a lot of vegan options & If you go with Amy's you'll be assured you are eating Organic and Non-Gmo food. I have been wanting to get into Yoga for a while now but I really would like to find a studio in the area that offers Birkam ("Hot Yoga") Congrats on trying to eat and live more healthy. Check out Nature's Pantry in Newburgh/Fishkill. They are the BEST.

Hi everyone. Sandy here...Just started reading Alicia's book. Also listened to the audio-cd's Skinny Bitch.

This vegan/vegetarian lifestyle is completely alien to me, but I am learning and taking one day at a time.

I live in Newburgh and I am lucky enough to have Nature's Pantry right around the corner from where I live. I think I might try that other place suggested in Poughkeepsie.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say hello! smiley-smile.gif
