Is anyone in the Oklahoma City greater metropolitan area? I have been living abroad for 4 years and have recently moved to Oklahoma and am in search of other like minded kind lifers. I have started an Oklahoma Vegan Meetup group here: http://www.meetup.com/Oklahoma-Vegan-Meetup-Group/

If you are interested in learning more about the Kind Diet, Kind Life or are already vegan please join us at our next meetup. I would love to connect with more vegans in the local area.

I am in Oklahoma, but not the OKC area. Hopefully more Okies will speak up!

Are you nearby in a 30 minutes to 1 hour radius? We'd love to have you join us if you can make it and are close. We live in Norman but find it extremely difficult to be vegan in OK. 1) we are seen as very abnormal by most everyone and 2) there are very few restaurants that even have 1 single vegetarian dish let alone a vegan one. It's very discouraging and I have been quite depressed since we have returned to the USA, to be honest. I thought it would be more prevalent in the US than in Europe, but I am finding I had more vegetarian and vegan friends in Europe than I do here in Oklahoma.

I recently moved to Lawton, OK. I have been here a month and it doesn't seem like a great place for vegans. I've only been a vegan for about two months so its hard to know what to do when I have very little experience and there is not much support here!

Hi Laura, I live in Norman and have been Vegan for about a year now...I fall off the wagon every now and then, so I would love to meet some other Kind Lifers to get my butt in gear!

I'm in NW Oklahoma, but visit the OKC area regularly. Can anyone recommend any good vegan-friendly restaurants? I've tried 105degrees and Sushi Neko recently--both very good.

Hi! Kind-Lifer in Yukon, OK, here! I've only become a vegetarian-attempting-to-be-vegan in the last 3 weeks and would love to connect with like-minded ppl in my area. It's so difficult to find vegan-friendly restaurants in my area that I've convinced myself that I need to start my own small restaurant...complete with locally grown, organic produce in the dishes and just have a simple breakfast, lunch, and dinner-of-the-day. Never know what will be the special when you walk in! I've got high hopes, anyway. Small businesses are super difficult to keep afloat and I wouldn't even know where to start.

Heyas! I live in Midwest city. My hubby and I like to go to Basil, they have a great veggie sampler that has hummus and dolma! there is one item on the platter that has dairy, but we just ask if they will sub extra of one/some of the other items in it's place and they do!

Hello: I live in Drumright - about an hour and 15 minutes from OKC. I usually head towards Tulsa but when the large Whole Foods is finished, that might change.
