Hello! Vegan and part-time superhero here! My name is Niki and my boyfriend and I are both vegan and always love meeting new vegan (or vegan flirty) friends.

Hi Niki, I am not in SLC, but I am close by in Evanston, WY. I don't know any one else here vegan. I often have to go to SLC for food. If you have any recommendations for restaurants in SLC, that would be great!

Fellow Vegan & animal lover here in Draper. We should put a group together for a fabulous lunch date! I love Sages Cafe & Sweet Tomatoes but I'm also looking for different 'hole in the wall' vegan friendly joints to patronize. Suggestions?

There are some really great places in and around SLC to dine. The owner of Sage's Cafe (an excellent vegan restaurant in downtown SLC) opened up a vegan diner called Vertical. It is really delicious and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. One of my favorite vegan friendly places is Mazza (Middle Eastern food). They have two locations - one on 15th So and 15th E. and the other on 9th So and 9th E. Another great place is Omar's Rawtopia. It is all vegan, organic, and raw. Really delicious but a little pricey. If you like pizza, my favorite is Este Pizzeria downtown. Their vegan white pizza is excellent and their garlic knots are vegan and ridiculous! The Pie Pizzeria is also now serving vegan pizza, zappis, and pull-aparts. A few great Indian/Nepali restaurants that are vegan friendly are Khatmandu, Himalayan Kitchen, and Bombay House. And the Squatters Brewery downtown lists vegan items on their menu, as does Fiddler's Elbow - another bar & grill type place in Sugar House. For dessert - don't miss Cakewalk Baking Company downtown. It's an all vegan bakery and it is so good. There is another bakery/cafe called City Cakes Cafe - also near downtown. They have lots of vegan breakfast and lunch items. The best stuff I've had there is the vegan mac & cheese and the chocolate peanut butter bars.

That should get you started! :)

Whole Foods has brown rice syrup! I tend to stick with Whole Foods, Sunflower Market, and Harmon's for my grocery shopping.

Hi! My name is Emma and my husband and I live in SLC :) We are the only vegan people we know and we would be exstatic to find other vegan friends to have lunch, etc. with!

Also, thank you Niki for the AMAZING vegan suggestions! We were just asking ourselves the other day if The Pie had any vegan options, so now we are delighted to hear that they do! I can't wait to try all the places you listed in that post!

Hi all. I'm up in Ogden where we have a few great health food stores. Moved from MI a year ago (culture shock!) and still trying to make some connections. My partner and I are avid anowboarders and down by snowbird a lot, where we have a season pass. (He is not a vegetarian, but keeps a whole diet of organic meats when he eats them.) We're always looking to meet other educated, forward thinking people in the area!

Anyone know of any vegan friendly doctors or health care providers in Salt Lake?
