SRQ Florida....

I live in Lakewood Ranch, Florida...just north of Sarasota in the Tampa Bay area. I love, love, love animals and have a goal this year of trying to organize a 5K race to benefit the Farm Sanctuary. I'm an avid runner and participate in a lot of races. Hope to meet/talk to any locals soon! My email is Rebekahboos@hotmail.com.

Hi Rebekah! i live in Apollo Beach (sounds like maybe a little north of you)...i'm not a runner but love animals as well..i volunteer at a local no kill shelter here..i'll have to look up the Farm Sanctuary and see who they are! nice to meet you! amy :)

Hi Rebekah and Amy! I live primarily in Gainesville but attend Stetson Law in St. Pete (Gulfport) during the week. Please let me know if you organize a race...I can see if some law students would be interested. We have an animal defense group that I could possibly get involved and others could join too! OMG! I am so excited! I cannot wait to get this race organized....I will keep you in the loop and thanks for responding to my post! LMK if you ever hear about any races/volunteer organizations, causes, etc. relating to animals local to our area and I'll do everything I can to get involved....

Hey guys! I'm over here in Pinellas County on the beaches. Rebecca, keep me posted on the race. I am not a competetive runner but I do run 3 miles a day so I would be interested in the race for sure! What a great idea!

Hi Jessica and Kay! Thank you so much for responding to my post! I am totally psyched! It'll be awhile from now obviously but perhaps we could shoot towards the fall sometime for a date...I will def keep you in the loop....

Kay, lmk if you need any help or volunteers regarding your reptile rescue and education....

Rebekah! I was searching "Sarasota" to see if there were new restaraunt suggestions and found this thread. I also live in LWR (Greenbook) and run! How cool! The Manasota Track Club is the most common organizer of races around here it seems. I'm sure they could assist you with organizing a race. I would love to participate so please keep me posted.
