Hey! Im a in Mt. Airy! I was shocked the 3rd post down was someone from Chestnut Hill! I've been vegan for a year now and couldn't be happier. I would love more vegan support. Its a great neighborhood to be a vegan but I don't have many vegan buddies in my world.

Hello. I'm in the Greater Northeast of Philadelphia, not terribly far from Chestnut Hill. Been a vegan since October 2010 for health reasons and would love any support I could find. My friends and family think I'm crazy, but I've never felt better. I'm trying to compile a list of all the farmers markets, recipes and food shopping tips that I can so that I don't fall off the wagon.

Hi Everyone...I am out in Eastern Bucks County...in Yardley, PA just which is about 15 minutes south of New Hope, PA along the Delaware River. Have been vegan since July and never felt better. My husband is still not used to the change but I have never been happier.....

Jennifer,

You're not that far from me. I'm right outside Bensalem, Trevose. My husband keeps waiting for me to go back to "normal." I think he thinks it's just a fad, even though I've never been the type of person to embrace a fad.

Since I have been vegan, I have been the healthiest I have ever been. I am the only one in my home who is vegan. But everyone is supportive and they do eat mostly vegan in my home. I have been vegetarian for 15 years and I have always been very concious of the foods that I feed my family. We have nothing with preservatives or artificial colors or flavors.

Hello! I am actually in Conshohocken, which isn't too far away from Chestnut Hill and the other areas. I went vegetarian last year, but I'm not quite vegan yet. I really want to make the total switch this year... it's just been a little slow going lol. However, I'm excited to talk with other vegan people in the area for the support!

I am in the Doylestown area of Bucks county and actually found another blog in the forum discussions titled "Pennsylvania Vegans looking for????" and there are a lot of us in there if any of you are interested. I am super close to Jennifer and Jamie and I am always looking for any s upport on this new lifestyle change. I have been vegan for a year now and feel wonderful. I just started reading The China Study and it is frightening to know this information about how healthy a vegan diet truly is--I say that b/c I too have a family that is waiting for me to go back to "normal" and it 's never going to happen. Hope to connect soon!

I'm from the Quakertown/Lansdale area. Nice to know there are so many of us in the area. I feel like I'm the only one around, lol.
