Heather- Try Qdoba in Gainesville. AWESOME vegan tortilla soup. Add rice and beans and get a side of chips and guac..perfection! I try to get over there when I can..I'm coming from Fairfax so it is a little bit of a trip.

Leesburg! I teach in Ashburn. I've been living with family for the past year and a half, and they are very UN-conscious (to say the least). It's hard. But I hope to be on my own in the next couple months and TOTALLY IN CHARGE of what I bring into my kitchen/home. VERY excited!

Sarah Jean-Thanks for the suggestion. I've never tried Qdoba. I will have to stop there soon because that soup sounds delish!

We recently moved from Kingstowne all the way out to Nokesville. Does anyone go to Lotus Vegetarian out in Chantilly? http://www.lotusvegetarian.com/ Maybe we should pick a day and all get together for lunch or dinner!?!

Oh, this is dangerous! I discovered http://www.kindkupcakes.com/ right here in Ashburn! I ordered vegan strawberry cupcakes for my daughter's 1st birthday, and everyone said they were fantastic-- better even than the non-vegan ones my mom bought from a different cupcake place. I could probably have made them myself (with a recipe, of course!), but I definitely couldn't have made them look as pretty!

Has anyone found anyplace that makes a vegan banh mi? I was absolutely addicted to vegetarian banh mi when I was pregnant with my son and lived in Austin, TX, but I've been too intimidated to brave Vietnamtown by myself!
