Meeting new kind lifers in NYC

Hi My Name is Dana,
I live in Brooklyn, NY and would like to meet people in the NYC area .
I love to cook and would like to some day have a vegan potluck in NYC.
Hi Dana, check out Meetup.com--there are many vegan meetup groups ("eat-ups") in NYC, and probably one based in Brooklyn! I am at work so won't take the time to browse the site, but check it out! Plenty of hungry vegans. We love to eat!
Oh, that reminds me--there is vegan waffle get-together that happens regularly in Brooklyn. I learned of it on "The Discerning Brute" blog. Check out the West Cafe. Brooklyn has a lot of good vegan choices. Another that springs to mind is Dao Palate on flatbush ave.
GRACIOUS GOURMAND and I Eat Grass have teamed up with The West Cafe in Williamsburg, Brooklyn to bring you Petit Dejeuner: A Waffle Brunch , featuring the delectable, decadent and geometrically gorgeous creations of Chef Ayinde Howell. $11 with a savory side of Mac & Yease or $9 for waffles, solo! Hi Dana and Vegan Running Gal,
( I happen to be a vegan running gal too! ) I am newly vegan , "hap- hap-happy" about it , and yes I am looking to hear about a vegan meetup too. I signed up to hear about NY/Brooklyn vegan meetups on meetup.com but haven't gotten any notifications yet. Maybe they're on hiatus?
