I'm moving to Auckland for a year and have never been to New Zealand before. I'm interested in hearing about people's veggie eating experiences in Kiwi-land. I have found the following blog, which seems like a good place to start: http://aucklandvegan.wordpress.com/. As I make more great new discoveries, I'll share them here too :)
I live in Auckland! I have been Vegan for about 1 year now, but don't know any other vegans/kind lifers so not really a hive of information sorry.
If there is anyone on here in the area, or even just in New Zealand....it would be great to make contact.
I live in Auckland too - I'm still flirting but there are some awesome vege places around our little city - Try the Blue Bird on Dominion Road, Mt Eden. Ripe deli (has non-veg too but 70% vege so great to take non vege friends to) richmond road, grey lynn. Grey Lynn also has Harvest Wholefoods which is the place to go for all your vegan treats - as its rare that regular supermarkets have all the good stuff!
Once I'm settled, I'd love to get together - maybe at one of the restaurants recommended in Auckland Vegan's blog or for a shopping trip to Harvest Wholefoods, recommended by Emily! :)
